KX 250 what model?

Hi, I just baught a used KX 250cc, the seller told me it was a 2000 model but I just got the registration papers and they say it was registered in oct 2001.

Is there any way to see what model the bike is?

the vin number has a letter in it which will designate its year. I dont remember off hand what year designates 00 on the kaws, im sure a kaw dealer can tell you right away. Ill do a little bit more digging

hi i have the same problem did u find out my bike is suposed to be 98 (kx250 aswell) wounderd if you found out how u check

if you pm me the vin number I can tell you what year it is. the 10th digit tells you what year it is

you can check http://www.kawasaki.com/Default.asp?...D=2&intParts=1
and enter in the vin # that would tell you very quickly what year your bike is and help you with ordering exact parts to fix any broken ones,
