I have a 82 KDX 250. It is rather hard to find parts for some old bikes. This Bike seems to be one. If anyone would be able to help me out with a web site or any info I would appreciate it.

The first place I would look is eBay, followed by www.frpoffroad.com.
Unless of course, you need a brand new OEM kickstart lever. In that case, I would say ME! One great place to help you out when working on your bike is: www.buykawasaki.com - under the Owner Info / Parts Diagram section. You can see all the parts microfiche diagrams for your bike. One of the many benefits is to see a different Kawasaki bike part (not just from another year KDX250, but any KDX, KX, etc.) and see if that part's part number matches the part number of your 1982 KDX250. If you haven't got the Kawasaki Owner / Service manual yet, eBay is a great place to pick one up. I bought mine there. Here's the part number: KDX250-B2 Owner's Manual & Service Manual, 99920-1165-01 My site has some general KDX and KX information: http://jasonwhokdx.home.mchsi.com/Su...formation.html What parts are you looking for specifically? Are you just looking in general? Some aftermarket parts are available that can be used instead of OEM. Good luck with your search. If you have any pictures of your bike, please post them or point a link to them. Thanks. |

I am just looking for future reference. I have had the bike for the past 4 years or so just have never ridden it. I have started it many times but one thing or another was stopping me from ridding. I am looking for fenders and all the other plastic that goes on it.

An aftermarket (UFO brand or other) front fender might fit it, but I doubt there are any other aftermarket plastic pieces for it. Maier may have made some side panels or other pieces. I think you will mostly have to buy OEM parts. They may be discontinued, so used ones off eBay or elsewhere may be your only hope.
Get out there and ride! |

KDXGarage, is this your site? What kind of services do you offer other than rebuild, any anodizing? I would post prices too... I just sent my forks out for service, anodizing and rebuild...

Hi. Yes, that is my site. Thanks for looking. I don't do any anodizing. It's mostly rebuilding, with some revalving, depending on model. I try to be very thorough with it, so if you ever need anyone to clean every part with a toothbrush, I am your guy.
Did you send off the KX forks or the Suzuki forks? Let me know how it turns out. I have some sets of blue USD KDX and KX forks. It would not hurt my feelings to wave a magic wand and have the blue stripped off, then have them hard anodized and mostly, not blue. |
