Default thinking of getting a kx100

Hi im new here and was thinking of getting a new kx100. The thought of getting it reringed every 20 hours of easy riding is a real bummer though.Still what do you guys think of the kx100? Just looking for a bike i can mess around with at a track or in woods.I had a 99 cr250 ouch you guys hate those lol.. my bro had a kx250 same year . They were fun but too big and powerful for going in woods and stuf . We both got jacked up some but that how it goes.We got rid of those but now i still have that 2 stroke urge love the power . Was thinking a smaller 100 that i could really handle and easy to through in back of the truck would be fun .Theres lots of fixing on these all the time maybe ill pass or get a 4 stroke but i bet a 150cc would not have that rush i like and i dont want big bike even 250 size would be biggish. i want a small bike .sorry if i ramble.any replies would be great..

Changing the rings every 20 hours??? I change the rings in my 99 KX125 maybe once a year. It all depends on your riding style and how it's maintained. I have never had the rings burn up yet. If your looking for a small fun bike that is low maintinance get a KLX110. There is plenty of power adders for that bike and even in stock form it was moving me at 175 lbs pretty good. Look at the aftermarket on the KLX110 it's also cheaper to pick up than the KX100. The KLX110 will be a better bike to ride in the woods and on fast 50 tracks.

Thanks for you advice. My friend happens to own a kdx110 for his kid.Ill take a ride on that to see if it would do the trick. I would prefer even a kx85 over that but ill see. size wise the kx 85 is about the smallest id want to go but I guess a re ring job once a year isnt the end of the world. If it was every two years id be fine with that .I would try my best to break the new bike in carefully to get the best wear from the rings . The bike would be ridden mostly just on weekends but i wont beat the crap out of it either. Also i would keep the oil changed and clean the filter all the time to.I hope the stock jetting wouldnt need too much changing around though..Price wise i can get a kx100 for 3000 out the door and a kx85 2700otd i have to check on the 85 though.

Get the kx 100. I just got one and i love it. Its really a great bike. I prefer a 2 stroke over a 4 stroke anyday!
