    Default 97 KX250 swingarm

Is it made of steel or aluminum? Mine is pretty beat up, and I want to remove the paint and polish it if it's aluminum.

So do the new bikes (250/450f) have an "unfinished" aluminum swingarm, or is that painted?

Ok, I think that is what I meant - not polished, but unfinished. Thanks again.

I stripped the paint off mine then used a steelo pad and it came up good. Heaps easier than polished.

I polished mine and every once in a while I hit it with White Diamond metal polish the best metal polish I have ever used. Here is there link http://www.whitediamondpolish.com/ here is a link to a picture of my swingarm that I polished I get all kinds of compliments out of it http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o...rearMedium.jpg
    and another

I had the frame gaurds polished but my boots scratched them all up every ride.
The White Diamond polish actually helps keep dirt and mud from sticking.
Let me know if you want to see the photos of my polished gixxer I did I sold it but still have the pics. If you don't mind a little work go for it.
