Default NEED HELP - Wheel bearings

Hi i asked around on this site about some side to side play in my wheel , and i was told to take the wheel off so i did and and it is def not the swing arm , and when i put the wheel back on it is the wheel that has the play , so is that the bearings? and how do i check that to make 100% sure that it is , and how much damage could a very slight bit of play do if i ride it?

might check to see if your spokes are tight, that can cause play in the wheel too.
if it is your bearings, replace them...they're cheap enough

diagram is from www.kawasaki.com . and the spokes you can just feel them. they should be solid like they're part of the rim and hub...like all one peice. if they're loose they willwobble or spin in your hand

www.buykawasaki.com for the parts diagrams.

Put your finger on the inside of the inner race of the bearing and spin it. If it fels gritty or catches any during travel, it is definitely bad.

Have you got a long punch (pin punch) and a hammer?

You just knock the bearings out from the opposite side of the wheel with the punch and hammer.
