Default KX85 spark plug replacement

Hello All,
I have recently purchased a new '06 KX85 that currently has only 30 minutes of ride time and has had 3 spark plugs fouled (and i'm sure the mixture is a little rich from the dlr for break-in)...
I have re-jetted the pilot (from 45 to 42) and haven't started the bike yet, but am wondering if i can change from the R6252K-105 to a BR9EG as these plugs are about 1/2 price, and they have worked great in my son's KX65 for the last 3 years. I am a little concerned of the overall difference of physical dimension (wondering about piston crown-spark plug clearance) but has seen some posts on several forum of people using BR9ES plugs as well as BR9EG and BR9IEX.
These are the dimensions that i have measured:

Spark Plug Washer: 2.29mm thick

R6252K-105 Distance from washer flange on plug body to furthest downward point (in installed position): 21.48 mm

BR9EG Distance from washer flange on plug body to furthest downward point (in installed position): 22.35mm

Difference: 0.87mm (about .035").

Does anyone have any knowledge as to the piston to plug clearance at TDC or does anyone have any reason to believe that the BR9EG wouldn't work?

Thanks in advance.

John

The plugs will be fine to use,but I'd consider droppingt the main jet one size as well,...they usually come rich from the factory. The main jet is considerred by most to control top end only, but it does have effect alll over(the needle goes down thru the main jet at low throttle).

i would drain the rich gas out and put some fresh gas in so you know how it's mixed...if your still running rich with the leaner pilot jet you can try moving the jet needle clip up to a leaner position before going any leaner on the jets...(i assume that you've already tried adjusting the air/fuel screw to compensate for the richness before you tried a leaner jet)

i have a 95 kx100 and i've tried the R6252K-105 and the BR9ES...i like the BR9ES my bike seems to run great with that plug...
