Default 95 kx 250 fouling plugs every 15-20 min

ill start this out with some info
95 kx 250 stock except for a pro circut platumin pipe. Fouling new plugs dead every 15-20 min.
Things ive tryed to fix it
I have repacked the silencer (stock),cleaned the carb, checked the pipe for clogs,
used maxma super m, kawasaki, spectrol, bellray, oils all at 32.1,40.1
50.1 and 52.1 mixed with highest octane pump gas. Tryed stock and hotter plugs and
resister plugs all ngk as well . Put on a new oem spark plug cap. made sure there
are no grounds loose. Cleaned the flywheel and stator. Checked the
power valves. Checked the reeds. Checked for vacume leaks.
Checked the carb jetting which is stock at 160 main 45 pilot.
    cleaned the air filter.
Put choke on and start the bike turn choke off after about 2 or 3 seconds crack the throttle a few times and ride.
This bike runs great till it foules the plug. and believe me i keep it on the pipe.
Amd it doesnt make a diffrence if im riding it on open ground or in the trails.
Runs great and just dies even if im in the throttle and wont start till i put in a new plug.
Buddy i ride with has the exact same bike. Same carb jetts same everything and does not kill plugs at all.Tryed putting my dead plugs in his bike to see if they will run and there dead.
    not a altatude problem
I can ride his bike all day long and never kill a plug.
    Amy ideas ??

I have been having jetting problems that I have been working on and this is what I would do if it was me. I would start the bike and do some throttle chop runs and then pull the plug and see what it looks like. Make sure you check this before the bike dies you said it runs 15-20 minutes just check in that time frame. Check this link out for jetting let us know your results http://www.kawasakimotorcycle.org/fo...must-have.html
I think that you are going to have to go down one on the main but do the throttle chop test first and take readings of your plugs.

When you have confirmed the jetting before the 15 minute period I would next check the stator coils as the the windings can short out slowly as they get hotter when riding so the spark gets weaker and weaker. You could try riding hard for 5 mins then stop for 10 mins to allow the motor to cool some then ride again for 5mins then stop etc. If you can keep doing this without fouling the plug then it almost is the stator coil is dying on you. Since your buddy has the same bike, try swapping stator plates over and see if the fault appears on his bike, if it does ride away like hell so you don't have to give it back!!!

    Which plugs are you using?

How much time exactly are you giving the engine to warm up before going riding?

See if your friend will let you swap out parts. That is the best way.

I also dont believe that the plugs are at fault
or the amount of time it is warming up.
or the fuel mixture. or mix ratio or altitude or type of oil. Because it dosent
make a diffrence . ive tryed about every oil and ratio and plug type.
My buddies bike is a cloan of mine (Except for the pipe) we use the same plugs
both bikes have the same carbs same jets were riding in the same places.
i can ride his all day long and not have any probs. he gets on mine
plug dead after 10-20 min just like when i ride it.
I have even swaped the dead plug into his bike and they remain dead. No fire at all in either bike after that plug fouls in mine. But listen to this. The plugs that foul in my bike i can put them in my sons 91 kx 80 and they get fire.

"crack the throttle a few times and ride."

You may want to give it a few minutes to warm up before you ride.

I gotta agree with Gaz's weak spark theory. It could be your spark plug boot or wire breaking down also. If your buddy will let you (it may take a 12 pack to convince him it's the right thing to do) , swap the electircal system parts until it's fixed.

I having a problem very close to what yours is doing. I ohm ed my coil and it did not give the readings the service manual said. It was over three times as high so I ordered one hopefully that fixes my problem. It was not fouling plugs, but they were very black when they had not been prior to the problem starting.

My KX125 did a similar thing recently after having the bottom end re-built it snapped out of it after I thrashed it to hell and back - full throttle in 1st gear for around 10 mins going up a 1:2 gradient it runs fine now.

My 1995 KX 250 (stock) basically does the same thing. But usually I can get one ride out of it (up to a few hours consecutively), but it seems that if the bike cools down the next time I go to ride it the plug fouls. Any suggestions?
    Thank you.

I went down 3 sizes on the pilot jet on my 92 kx250,they come jetted rich from the factory.I run a 48 and it never fouls a plug. This info was given to me by a guy here in ga know as (mx tuner)you can goggle him and see he really knows what he's talking about. My bike has ran great ever since, check out georgiaoffroad.com and you'll see everybody takes there bikes to him.If you don't want to chance it go down on the pilot in steps like I did 55-52-50-48 but I ended up right were he said.the pilot is the problem goggle him and you will see he is really good.My bike is now a great woods bike.

where do you live cause they are jetted rich from the factory cause they expect costumer's at all altitude's even sea level.my bike use to foul plugs for a couple of reasons warn piston & rings/reeds but it was also slightly rich stock.the pipe could richen it a little to.when was the last time the top end was rebuilt/how's the reeds are they stock or aftermarket.like mentioned in an above post could be a crank seal letting trans fluid in.
