Why does this forum modify links??

You do not need to type WWW, IE & Firefox do that for you.

Also if you use the insert link icon then you can make the link say anything you want.

Here's your link <--- Neat lookin, huh?

You type that you want it to say, such as "Sample"
Then highlight it like you're going to copy it. then click on the insert link icon. Paste the link you want in the box & click OK, you're done...

BTW, the box will already have a "http://" highlighted in the box, just paste over it or hit delete, then paste so you'll only have one "http://"

Here is the "Sample" again as your link using the methold I mentioned. When in doubt use the preview post tab to see what others will see

Hi. Thanks for the attempted help, but I wasn't really looking for a workaround solution. This forum specifically modifies links, unlike a jillion other forums and internet places. Someone decided "we want it this way", and I am just wondering why.
