Default 02 KX125 Pilot jet

I know this is going to be a dumb question, but where is the pilot jet on an 02 KX 125? I am assuming it should be in the bottom of the carb somewhere near the main jet, but I am not seeing one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Um, okay, i'm not good on carbs myself, but I think its the big long one sticking up from the bowl not the one on the slide. Someone enlighten me aswell.

Check the parts diagrams on the Kawasaki.com site. That should help you see where it is within the carburetor.

Thanks for the info. The reason that I was asking is that my bike doesn't seem to have a pilot jet. I just bought the bike for my wife, and it seems the person that owned it before me neglected to put one back in when he was re-jetting the bike.

Thanks, I will be picking one up tomorrow from the local dealership. I took off the carb, and there is no pilot jet, only a main jet. I did not see any long jet to take out. And I was wondering why it bogged all the time. I guess I have my answer. Thanks again for the insight.

In my mind if it didn't have a pilot jet it wouldn't start or run.

Default 91 KX 125 - stock jets

Anybody know what the stock jets sizes are for a 91 KX125 ?
I'm having the same low end bog I've seen described.
Main Jet ? - Pilot Jet ?
This way i can compare what is in there now to what factory is supposed to
be. Thanks all !

Excuse me, martek59, didnt know there was h8rs on this site. Apparently you dont know any better. I was genuinely trying to help Rocko and you , a service manual will tell you what the stock jet sizes are, and just about anything else you want to know about your mean machine.
And as far as me having too much time on my hands... Ive got 5 post
So go bash on another site DOG

im kinda goin to have to agree with djg962, the 1st thing i did was buy a manual for my bike, unless you are completly clued up on all the workings on a bike i dont understand how anyone can do all the repairs to the bike on there own without one

With no pilot jet, I'll bet it started on the 1st kick every time.

all you guys, the pilot jet controls fuel flow in low rpms. the black nob on your carbs is the idle screw, and the brass more intigrated nob towards the bottom right of your carb is the pilot air screw. twisting the pilot screw in will give you a richer jeting and screwing it out will give you a leaner one. to adjust your pilot screw for its best setting, first turn in your idle screw to were you have a sumwhat faster idle than normal, than startin with your pilot screw, from about 1 turn out, adjust so that the bikes idle is fastest without touching the idle screw. once the idle is fastest from the range of about 2.5 pilot turns out to about 1 pilot turn out, you have reached the optimul performance for your bike with its current pilot jet, and you can turn the big idle screw to your disired idle speed. thats a basic pilot jet adjustment. if your pilot jet isnt correct it will be hard to get your bike not to bog at low rpms. doing this procedure will help greatly even if you dont have the best jet. and get service manuals, because their is even other stuff that can make your bike bog, like an improper float height, or to high of a gas level in your float bowl. This stuff all needs to be adjusted right for your bike to rip. and sorry if those instruction get confuseing, try to make it work.

Nate, for future reference, when your post has absolutely nothing to do with the original question, this is called hijacking and causes confusion and pi$$es off the original poster. Ask your question in a new topic, and you will get many answers. Thanks!
