Default Help MX Riders!

Ok got my wife a Yamaha 2007 TTR 125 LE for Xmas...She learned to ride and never really got into it...
Have someone to trade a 2007 YZ 85 straight up...Same condition as my bike clean...

What do you guys think...The YZ is taller and has more clearance...My concern is power. I want more power...The TTR 125 LE is worthless to me now...Not enough power to really motivate.

Comparo guys is KX 85 versus KLX 140L...Pluses minuses...I know this is a Kawi site but I run a ZX-10R if that helps to get a response. I need to justify this trade.

You might want to try and trade for a kx100 if you want to stay with a mini type of bike. It will have plenty of power to have fun on just not enough suspension depending on your height and weight like the yz85...

Have you ridden the yz85? To see if it's going to have enough power for you? Once you ride it you should know whether you want to make the trade or not. Since power is your concern i would go with a kx100 over a 85 it will have bigger wheels too

My son has been racing 85's since he was 8. He now races 85 & 100 and he 53" tall and weighs 75 lbs. You better look into something bigger.

A YZ85 is a million times better than a TTR-125 in every category(More than double the hp and suspension travel of the TTr and the KLX140.) If you have to stick with a kid size bike, that YZ would be a good choice to play with. They are snappy and will flip right over backwards.

***Since your wife isnt into it, why dont you get a bike that will fit you?
