Default Installing New KX250 Top End?

I have a 99 KX 250 and recently purchased a new cilynder and top end kit from Motosport. I bought all OEM stuff. The shop that took the top end off let some dirt get inside the case. What is the best way to get the case clean with out taking it apart? It is not a lot of dirt but I am anal and would like the bike to be as clean as possible before I install the new top end. Also I am installing everything in the next two weeks so any helpfull info would be great. I have a Clymer manual and this weekend I will be preping the bike for the overhaul.

Thanks.

yeah +1 blow it out with a airline as long as it wasnt lots, if it was i would split the cases and clean bearings dirt would act like sandpaper and will cause bearing failure.

Its not a lot of dirt. The mechanic stuck a dirty rag around the connecting rod and some dirt was laying in the area around the connecting rod. I have another? How should I clean the studs that come from the case that hold on the cylinder? They have some rust build up from the coolant.

If it is only minimal ...AND you know that you can see it all..use a peice of fuel line duct taped(reduced down) on the hose of a shop vac. If you think there is some you cant see,...split it apart. Even a "little" dirt,,,agggh....dirt and engines dont mix.

I use a wire brush thats used on suede shoes. It looks like a tooth brush but of soft wire. works great.

I wouldn't go back to him!! The area anywhere near an open bottom end should be hospital clean!! (including rags)

take it back to the mechanic and let him clean it, although he may use dirty rags again...
