Default A Few Questions

I am fairly new here and have a few questions, I have a 89 KX250 with a Gold Series FMF pipe and silencer as the only engine upgrades. Question 1 what would be the best Reeds to install as replacements Stock or Power reeds? Question 2 how do I repack my silencer I have read where it will decrease performance when clogged with oil. Also I am looking for the outer most clutch cover for an 88-89 KX250 if anyone has one, mine is cracked and repaired with JB weld. Thanks for any info........Jerry

I like boyesen reeds myself.

The muffler end should be removeable, pull out the packing ( looks like steel wool ) and repack it, available at many shops.

If the repair is not leaking, its likely fine.
If a repair is done correctly with JB that stuff is incredibly strong.....if you do want to replace it, try cycle salvage yards, call around and you may find one.
