so i have a 1984 kdx, that has a dead spot in the midrange exceleration. It has had this problem since day one, I have rebuilt the top end, rebuilt the carb, redid the exhaust, new reeds, new airfilter, and after all of this, i still have a spot in the midrange that it doesn't run properly at. Does anyone have any ideas for this. I have been told at this point that it may be that the cylinder is worn (not likely but am grasping at this point). I could really use some advise for this.
