kx125 kick start shaft assembly

just wondering if the shaft assembly from a 2000 kx125 will work in my 97? if not, what about one from 99? thanks

You may want to look on the Kawasaki site under the onwer / info and parts diagrams to see if the part numbers are the same. It might be the exact same part.
