    Default Got Puig?

I picked up my new Puig DB shield while I was in Vancouver earlier this week, and installed it last night.

It is a very top quality piece of blingage. I have heard some horror stories about some aftermarket shields and their terrible fit. Not so with this one, it fit like a glove and is easily as well manufactured as the stock shield.

Now I just have to get out for a ride and see how it works.

Looks sweet. You'll have to let us know how it works.
    They all do that.

Very nice! Is that dark smoke? I'm looking to replace my 07 14's stock shield and the Puig's are leading the hunt so far on quality and a perfect fit.

How about thickness? I hear the ZG screens are a bit thinner than stock even, and can be a little wobly at speed?

    Again man, looks great!

PS - I am 6'2" 220lbs and was looking at a V2K till I found your thread about "making the switch" to the other side of things... I found myself a brand new 2007 ZX-14 in Candy Plasma Blue and got a hell of a deal on it so I'm happy to say I couldn't be happier!

So it's my fault you're saying?

My wife has the ZG DB shield on her Viffer, and they are comparable in quality. Though the Puig "dark smoke" (which, yes it is the dark smoke model) seems darker than the ZG "dark smoke" unit. The Puig also comes with a piece of clear plastic trim that you can slide over the top edge of the shield, which the ZG doesn't have.
I was initially looking for a ZG DB but the Canadian distributor's were out of stock, so I went with the Puig.

Either one would be totally acceptable. I wouldn't however purchase any other brand of aftermarket shield other than the Puig or ZG. I've seen pictures of some terrible fitment and quality issues with other ones.

Damn! That Puig looks really nice (have opted to not use an expletive). You're going to like that double-bubble for wind protection. I got a Puig for my Z1000 and I was suprised to see how much protection it provided...on a naked bike!

I agree with you, the quality is second-to-none. Fit, thickness, looks...everything about Puig is just first rate.

The puig will not wobble....TRUST ME. I've had mine for 2 1/2 years and not one problem whatsoever. Just a shot of plexus and she's as clear as the day I got her. Enjoy and yes I did notice lesser wind buffer, I have two friends who rides busa who loves them.

First ride with the new shield today and while it looks the business I honestly didn't notice any large changes as compared to the stocker. Having said that, it has been extremely windy here and that may be affecting the ride.

But it sure looks good....or did I already say that?
