    Default Difference between the ZX6R & ZX6RR

I realize the RR is probably better, but how much more expensive is it, and is it worth it? How much power does it have, and does it handle anybetter?

The RR version is built for race purposes in mind only. It doesn't not have more power, infact is has a few less hp because it is only 599cc versus the ZX-6R being 636. The reason for this is that most middle weight competition does not alow anything over 600cc. The RR tippicly has more R&D put into it. Especially the engine. Give it a high compression ratio and more bang for the displacement. In the 05 version it has a slightly longer wheel base than the R version. In the 03 and 04 versions it has a slipper clutch where the R version did not. The R version in 2005 does include the slipper clutch.

In general the RR version is NOT worth buying for street purposes. Infact it has no advantage over the 636 on the street at all. Unless you are buying the RR for racing use its not worth it at all. Even if you are planning on doing track days its not worth it. It would only be worth it if you plan on competition racing.

There are actually a lot more diffrences in these bikes. The 05 ZX6RR comes with, AMA settings close gear ration trannsmisson, The rear suspension also difers from the 636 , you can set the dampering for low and high speeds. Mouting braket for the side stabilzer. I own the 05 ZX6RR for street. For various reasons, its limited productions, its very rare to see on the street or let alone find in a dealer, and after all the mods i did to it im actually faster then my buddys 05 636 but that after lost of money was put into it, compared to his slip on, im sure if he woudl do everythign i did i woudlnt be braging any way peace.
