Default Fuel Pump or Spark Plugs....?

My 2008 ZZR-600....Only has 6700 miles....give or take...Few weeks ago it died on me, after riding around for a few hrs here n there, but not continuosly...I had to push it for awhile, and it did start back up but then wanna die....I got it going with choke closed fully.....and it would sound like ****. So that happened back n forth for 20 mins....well while coasting "while my wife" jogged besides me...."just had picked her up from work"...lol the bike kinda snapped out of running and or sounding like ****, and was firing perfectally... After a week of letting it sit, and charging the battery....I came back to it, and it did start but still sounded like crap.....Ive asked and have been told....if its a fuel pump the bike would die if it was running...which it did.....but if a fuel pump went, afterwords...say on the side of the road like i was....i wouldn't start again.....sooooo ive been told it could be the spark plugs.........haven't had time to get intot eh bike and fig out...but what do you all think....and yes plenty of gas.....and a fresh oil change 1st of april..

Is your bike FI (fuel injected) or carbs? Some models of Kawasaki bikes had carbs with a low pressure fuel pump. How do the sparkplugs look ? Black too rich,White too lean, and light tan about right(checking at the plugs center electrode where the spark gap is).

Mike, I was just asking around...cas the fuel pump was making a clicking sound inside the unit....but then when i asked around....others told me if it was the fuel pump the bike wouldn't start...but it is....so like you said....plugs or .......thats my point...it starts up...just sound like crap...and the what puzzles me...is the night it died out....after 20-25 mins of messing around....it kinda cleared itself....and fired up right....that why im not sure which one of the 3-4 things it could be

As time goes on, car and motorcycle owners are finding out the E-10,E-18 & E85 Gas/Alcohol mixes are destroying the rubber bits in the vehicles fuel system. More than one car has had fuel pump failure due to this stuff.

I understand that Honda sells Alcohol tolerant fuel lines. Don't know the cost (might be $$$$).
