Post Corroded Turn Signal?

The right turn signal does not work on my 91 Zephyr. The left works fine. When the right is activated, the right rear signal is solid, but the front never even lights up. So I thought, bad bulb, right?

I started to change the bulb on the right front signal, and niticed that it was severely corroded and rusted in there. The bulb was nasty and obviously blown. So, I got a bulb in there that I knew was good. It has the same results. No light when turn signal is activated. The light does not even light when the key is in the on position.

So, since the left signal works, its not the relay. Most likely a bad connection in the signal assembly, right? Working on that assumption, I have already ordered a turn signal assembly to replace it. Do you think that I am on the right track? How bad is it gonna be for me to get the new one hooked up?

Thanks in advance.
