Default need help with 636!

so im looking into buying a 636 within the next few months and had a question. does anyone know if the 2005 636 headlight and headlight fairing can be adapted to an 03-04 636? i love everything about the 03-04 636 except these parts, and would definately do the swap if it is possible. does anyone have any idea if this would work? thanks in advance for any/all help with this matter!

i think anything can be made to fit, its all in how handy you are with plastic work, and how far you are willing to go with it!

I have the 03 636 and have taken it apart several times (putting in halo eyes into my headlights) and have taken the 05 front end apart a few times for friends (put new led's in their cluster gauges) and from what I can tell, there are many different parts between the two. The ram air is definately a different shape, so first off you would need a new upper. Then the support bracket for the upper is different, so you would need a new support bracket. The headlights are different, so you would need to change the headlight assembly. I believe the wiring is still the same, so nothing needs to be changed there. If you change your upper, then the lower needs to be changed also because they mount in different spots between the 2.

To me, that is way too much money to spend to make an '03 look different. If you have the parts laying around though, that may be a different story.

I hope this helps.

I would say just get the '05 ZX6R.

For my first bike, it is a blast...
