Default how to remove battery on a 05 636

i tried to get the battery out for winter today but how do i get to it. i took off the plastic black peices on both sides and took off the seat but the battery is under a cross member so what do i do? any help is really appreaciated

On my 05ZX10R you have to slightly raise the rear of the tank, no more the 3 inches so as to not bend the front tank mount, rotate the bracket blocking the battery slightly, then pull out the battery. Helps to have an assistant. I suspect the process might be similiar on your bike.

its basically what he said, the seat comes off, and then it should just come out, i got the manual for the zx6r and it says the same thing, just remove seat, then remove battery.

Check on the sides of the case that battery sits in to make sure not some type of clip holding the battery into place.

well got the battery out yeah!!!! but what voltage do i set the maintainer on is it 6 volt or 12 volt?

how did you get it out, like was something holding it down? I never took mine out on the 636 yet so.

i had to take all the bolts off the gas tank and the two holding the bracket on the back of the tank then lift the back up then take out the battery there is no just pull it out its not that easy

cool. thats what I figured that the tank had to come out.
