05-06 zx6r (636) and zx10r interchangeable parts???

I was recently looking for a seat cowl for my 06 636 and noticed that kawasaki lists the same cowl for both the 636 and zx10r, which made think of what else is interchangeable between the 2 bikes. I believe the tail section is the same so is it a good guess to say that undertails listed for the 636 will also fit the zx10r and vice versa????? anyone know of any more parts?????

just curious as i noticed that there aren't allot of shops selling parts for the 05-06 636 as of yet

I'm not sure, but it could be an expensive mistake if the seat cowls dont match up correctly. =P Check on ebay for an '05 636 seat cowl, that's where I got mine.

The undertails might not be the same, since teh 636 already has an undertail and the 10R has the side pipe. If you are lookin for '05-'06 636 exhaust, there are some sites that are sellin them, try:

thanks for the links, but im pretty sure the cowl is the same for zx10r and 636 ( 05-06 ) at least thats what the kawasaki site says. anyways right now kawa only has the seat cowls in green so i guess the rest of the colors are on back order. and i've seen some other aftermarket cowls but they look horrible, i really like the look of the simple cowl just like on the 03-04 636's. and i was wrong about the undertails just cause the 636 has the under seat exhaust and the zx10 doesnt

The 10R one looks cooler to me. But if you go and look at the 2006 models, they are the same now. Even have the same part #'s.

are the chain gaurds interchangeable on the 2005 zx6r and zx10R. I'm looking for a carbon fiber chain gaurd for my 2005 zx6r 636 and i found one on www.cycle58.com for 2004-2005 zx10R....will it fil????

I have both. 05 (636) and 06 ZX-10R. The seat cowl is the same. Also the mirrors, pegs, tail light, the seats, and you can use the same front turn if euro, I think a lot more looking at them side by side. Mayby swing arm, front tire hugger, some faring parts, and the tail is the same but the 10 has a key hole in it.

No the 05 ZX-10 seat cowl is different.
