Default Good prices for 6R?

It's about time for me to start seriously shopping around for my next bike, as I'm getting rid of my '89, and my bank is ready to finance my new one. I'm still going between the 636 and the ZZR-600. My closest dealer doesn't budge on prices, but when calling around, I was amazed at one of the quotes I received.

ZZR-600 OTD $6800
ZX-6R OTD $7900

The next closest quote was about $200 over MSRP for OTD. I'm guessing these are great prices, or should I keep calling around to more places? Thanks for the help guys!!

Oh yeah, this is in the Houston area. Any local guys will know the place as Extreme in Tomball.

Matt

O.K., here's an update. The price he quoted was not OTD. It was 7899 + TTL for a total OTD of $8,559.36. I decided to go with a black ZX-6R over the silver ZZR. I think I made the right decision.

I'm feeling even better about my purchase price now. They made the OTD total $8549.99. I'm loving this bike!! It's a lot more comfortable than I thought it would be, and the power is incredible. My mileage is a lot better than I expected too, as I've got about 120-130 miles on the tank, and have yet to see the low fuel warning. Then again, I've taken it pretty easy so far, but I feel confident it will stay fairly high.

It's a tough call. It depends on your debt to income ration. Figure up what you've got coming in, versus what you've got going out. Much like the house you just got, they're gonna be looking to stay around the 40% mark. At least that's what my local bank was doing. That said, I turned down the loan at my bank, and went with Kawasaki. They capped me at $8550, which is why the sales price was so close to that.

Yeah I figure our income is $6000,00 a month = NO KIDS

I figure our monthly cost's are $2000.00

All we pay on is the house and 1 car .

That 'no kids' sure helps you. If that's all on your credit, and your scores are that high, I would think you'd be good to go. Only thing I could think of to make them decline that, would be how recently you purchased your home. But with no other credit cards or anything, I'd definitely give it a shot. Heck, even if they were to turn you down, I'm sure there's someone who would give you a loan for it. Just be sure when you do it all, SHOP AROUND for your insurance. I saved a fortune with an agent that primarily does motorcycle coverage.

Well, progressive has my '89 750R policy. With full coverage and above average coverage on the 6R, they wanted $3k per year. I'm 27 with a perfect record. My agent with State Farm hit me at $76 per month with equal coverage, so you can guess who I went with. lol

I'm not sure. My agent on my cars is the one who set me up with Progressive, and I think he works with geico too. Might give them a shot. Also, I replied in my other thread about lights if you haven't seen it. If you've got yahoo, I'm logged in under this screen name if you'd rather converse that way.
