Unhappy Serious Problem? Starting problem need advice

I have a 1994 Kawasaki 900 and runs great normally. This morning I tried to start my bike and it just cranks but does not want to start. I have a new fresh fully charged battery. Lghts come on.

This happend only one other time, last week. I was super low on gas but it eventually started and I filled up. Well today my gas tank is half full so I know that isn't the problem.

I am thinking a spark plug related issue? any suggestions

Look at the plus, if their black (carbon fouled) it wont start. New plugs, then you need to find the reason why your running so rich. Also rechange the battery, after cranking it so much it drains the battery. Eventhough the lights come on it might not be strong enough to start you bike with.

Check the plugs before you start cranking it or you'll only drain the battery.

You could, and then just charge it again. You sure your petcock is in the right position and kill switch is on?

well I just charged it only took about 15 minutes and the bike starts right up. The bike was sitting for about two or three days we just had a storm here in california which is unusuall for this time of year. Any way I think my petcock was in the wrong position. Ijust read this article about petcocks. I put mine in the on position

I doubt you could have had your petcock in the wrong position as it will start in any position, prime, on or reserve. Good luck.
