1993 ZX-6E - Tire Change (Rear)

My wife rides a 1993 ZX6E, and walked out of the house only to find she had a flat tire. I filled up the tire, and found the leak. She picked up some metal road trash, and the tire is done

I remember seeing somewhere on here, where I could download the maintenance manual for various bikes, so I can see how to change the rear tire. I can't find that post now, and was wonderig if someone could inform me on where to view/download that maintenance manual again I'd appreciate it.

Im not sure if your bike is the same as mine but it will be somewhat on the same level.

Basically remove the sprocket nut on the back of the swingarm, loosing up the chain tensioner probally has the locknuts on both sides of the swingarm.

Now tap out the axle to the rear wheel and pull it out the other side, make sure while doing this you keep an eye on how everything goes together. After the axle is out, you can push the wheel torward the bike to get the chain off the sprocket, then just roll the tire out.

This is not hard to do but be VERY careful that the bike is suppored on stands or something.

Thanks South Jers...I ride an 02 ZX-7R, and I have changed the tires numerous times on mine.

In the past I seen someone post the website where you can get those manuals from. Download em for free....was hoping someone had the cd, or the download and I could grab it from em
