Exclamation I need help ASAP

I know this is a Kawasaki forum but i trust your guys opinion and am trying every forum so please read

ok so heres the deal: while having fun on Ebay looking a bikes i placed a bid on a
2006 Yamaha : YZF YZF R6 R. After bidding and knowing i wasn't going to win i forgot about it. well today i got an email from the seller saying he lowered the price to $1000 and i was like wow. After the intial shock wore off i began to think it was to good to be true. well after looking around the seller bignumber1 has a feedback of nearly 2000 and a 99.5% pos. so he looks legit but something doesn't seem right. So here are a few of the questions i have for you guys:

1. Is there such a bike as a YZF R6 R? I know they are basically race ready.

2. Does anybody live in Alabama and has had contact with these people and telll me how good they really are

3. If for some odd odd reason this is real does anyboyd know of a good way to ship it. This is my first bike.

I don't plan on keeping it i would turn around and sell it to pay for school a better beginner bike.

So please all help is greatly appreciated and need as soon a possible as i want to be able to inform the guy at 3 tommorow....thankks aready

1. if it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

2. seller's feedback doesn't matter, the account could have been taken over by criminals. the thing to do is...first take a look at the seller's past auctions, is he/she selling what they normally sell? if the items being offered are not the usual stuff they sell, that's the first sign of fraud and account take over. i buy and sell on ebay a lot and am a powerseller, so i like to think that i know what i am talking about.

3. if you decide to go ahead and pay for it using paypal, pay with a credit card if possible. because if the deal goes sour, you are protected by your CC company.

4. safer bet is to use an escrow service, they charge you a fee and wait to release the funds to the seller until the item has been received by you and everything checks out okay. if the seller doesn't agree to do this, usually they are a fraud, obviously because they don't have anything to send in first place.

hope this helps.

A new R6 for $1000 sounds way to go to be true and probably is.

Email the company, and tell them you are going to be in the area in a few days and would like directions so you can get the bike in person. See what there response is.

That's WAY too cheap for it to be a legitimate deal.
Good feedback doesn't mean anything on eBay anymore... nobody leaves a negative because everyone retaliates, and when a negative IS left, it's negotiated out and removed.

99.5% positive just means that he's established, and is now going to spend the next month or two scamming people before vanishing.

Lately, after I bid on anything on ebay, I get an email supposedly from the seller with a second chance offer. It is not from the seller and it is a scam. That's what you have here. The seller is legit but the email is not.

Everyone needs to be aware that bidding on ebay is not safe and secure. Scammers somehow have access to ebay's list of email addresses.

If you place a bid, your ID and email address are available through your profile.

Not only are there scammers out there... but that "neck of the woods" has tons of flood damaged bikes from Katrina. An 2006 R6 for $1K is extremely hard to believe. I might also suspect a hijacked seller's account if the feedback is indeed in high quanity and good. I'd report it to SafeHarbor if they said $1K for the sale price.

To clarify they say they would take $1K less for the bike's asking... or did they say $1K? If they said $1K off, then they are probably legit... I sat on a Raven model R6 with low miles for ~5.5K the other day.
