I just realized that the sticker on the tank of my 500R has clearcoat on it which means i can't peal it off or can i?

I have no other stickers on my bike and I don't want to repaint the tank.

If you are talking about the Kawasaki one, yes, it is clear coated.

I know that sucks big time, big @ss ugly Kawi sticket needs to go on my 636, but I sure as hell ain't gonna repaint my tank for it. Get a tank cover to cover it up.

i never looked in to that.. how much would it be? can i get it in a nice black leather sorta thing?

Because ther is a decal is sort of a good thing. IF you use a very hard surfaced (like piece of marble) and very fine sandpaper, you will get to the plastic decal before you get to the paint. once you have the plastic you can use a hairdryer to peal away the plastic. YOu will find that getting the complete tank clearcoated again is fairly inexpensive. Wetsanding or polishing compound the tank and another coat will give you a further depth and luster...or just go with a complimentary coler and sand it down removing the decal, not worring about some of the aint and then paint and clearcoat...
