Hi out there, I am looking to import a 2003 zx6rrfrom the UK and I was wondering what would be needed to bring it inline with US spec as far as emmissions are concerned, i know the headlights would require changing but am not sure about the emmissions and carbon filters ect. I will be moving the bike to Florida. Adealers contact number would also be helpful.

I think the euro emissions standards are more strict then the U.S. so you should be good there. Just the lights (but I doubt anyone would really notice that) and a new tail part to attach a US style license plate.

I'm not up on the emission standards between UK & USA, but FL, like some other states, doesn't require any type of emissions test in order to register a bike. As far as a dealer, give these guys a call or drop them an e.

Things here in FL are pretty laxed, where other states are pretty tight. When people tell you FL is a swamp, believe them, because here, dirt is a commodity...

Cheers guys, sounds encouraging. I am planning on emmigrating to Florida around Feb/march and this is helpful.
