Spark Plug mod

i am normally on thumpertalk fourms but i do own a 2006 ex250 and i wanted to join the kawawaki fourms and see what you guys and ladies have been doing to your bikes.

Has anyone ever done a spark plug mod to any street bike? you know if you take the spark plug wire off the plug and looked into it you see a slotted screwdriver bolt in it. well if you take that out you get a resistor and a spring. if you replace that resistor with a peice of 4mm stainless steel bolt it will deliever a hotter spark. which increases throttle response and gives a tiny bit more power.

any one done this? i have done it to my dirt bikes and seen great things from it. i just thought it would make the little 250 a but more worthy.

also is there a common opening up of the 250s? like remove a snorkel in the airbox and put a slip on exhaust or remove the baffle? any cheap upgrades?
