Hey guys! I need to get this lowered. Does anyone know how big of a job that is? Is it something I could do myself or would I have a shop do it??? Any thoughts?

The ZZR600 is a great bike. I went from an '01 500R to the ZZR600. It did scare me at first, bascially the throttle response is a lot quicker than the 500R.

I had my 636 lowered and my 600rr lowered. The key is to do it right so you keep similar dymanics to stock. Get lowering links depending on the drop you need...I am 5'7"...I had 1.25 inches dropped in the rear for my 636 and 1 inch for my 600rr...The front of the 636 was dropped 3/4 inches...The rear was higher and on my CBR the front was dropped 1 inch. Havea shop do it and do not just do one or the other but do both. Your bike will be easy to lower. I know one guy on SBR who rides his lowered. Now if you are heavy careful careful. You will see how much dropping a bike will instill confidence into you. It did for me and I rode my 636 stock for a year at normal height and I live in the Bay Area which is hilly and has hilly stops.
