Actually, the part you named is 92002 in the diagram; it's the stem that holds the black knob that actually adjusts the idle (part 13091--the part that Green described). When you look under the bike, you won't even see the screw--you'll only see the black knob.

In any case, you'll see it; just remember to adjust the idle when the bike is already warmed up.

I just bought a new 2007 EX500 and it idles like it's only running on one cylinder. What's with that? Once you give it some throttle it smooths out. Do they all do that?

Idle speed should be about 1150-1200 rpm, If it is and still seems to be dodgy then back to the dealer as she's under warranty

That's about what I figured. Actually, at 1150-1200 it smooths out, and that is generally its idle after thoroughly warmed up. It's when it's cold and on the way to warm that it behaves like a W650 with a disconnected plug wire. And, yes, off to the dealer for a chat on Thursday (dealer is in a town 30 miles further west). This county (Cochise) is full of mountains and bigger than Connecticut and Rhode Island combined.
