1974 - 147 indicated in my 70 Camaro.

1982 - 138 based on my tach and my math on my 81 KZ1000 (speedo only registers 85 )

1987 - 42mph ground speed (with a tailwind) in Stars and Stripes (one of the Goodyear blimps). Yes I was at the controls.

Installing a power commander negates any effect of the jumper mod and you would have to take it out completely to install the PC.

99 camaro, at the time i had 3.42 gear with a six speed. Stage 2.5 PP LS6 heads, 229/233 .560/.560 114LSA cam, LS6 intake, Forged 346 LS1. Full intake and exhaust. Speed density tune with HP tuners. Every bolt on you can think of, and a 200 shot of N2O, but I was not using the N2O. Basicly i was drafting my friends corvette down the 14 freeway here in So Cal, so I was in his slipstream. I prolly could not have done it without drafting him. I have done it on the N2O from 150 to 170ish before slowing down. Im sure i could have gone faster but ran out of room.

Why do alot of people say "as indicated by speedo"? Is the speedometer not as accurate at higher speeds? Anyways... 95mph on a 2004 Kawasaki Ninja 250R, only lasted a few seconds before it dropped back to 90. My father said he got it to 110mph once, I'm wondering why that is now impossible to do. I'm not near the red zone, the throttle just won't pull back any farther.

1st Gen 636 is about 165-166 GPS top end. I would like to see a 636 do 182+ with that mod list. I am guessing indicated, downhill, with a tailwind.

Correct. It is not unknown for a bike speedo to be as much as 10% off from actual speed. As an example, my 2008 Triumph Daytona 675 may say I am going 65mph, but the GPS I have mounted says I am going 62mph.
Some bikes are very accurate, but others are off a few mph and get worse the faster you go.

113mph indicated on my 2008 Triumph Daytona 675.

That was all the traffic conditions allowed. I still had about 3000rpm left to use before redlining it.
