Default New 250 Ninja for 2008 *Merged Threads*

Most seem to agree in addition to the lack of power in the Ninja 250, its design is a little long in the tooth. I found some shots of "new" bike seen in Barcelona:

Wonder if if truly is a new Ninja 250 and even then if it will make its way to the US??

that would be awesome, but at the same time I would be pretty upset that I just bought an 07' 250 then they come out with that new style.

Ooooohhhhh...
Ahhhhhhhhh...

Daddy like!

I'd bet that if that does become a reality in the US that it's hella expensive. One can always drool tho....

I LOVE Kawi green!

That is a good look for the 250r if that is what it is really going to look like. The new styling is sweet looking and has the sex appeal of the the larger zx models bikes! I wonder if they will be switching the bike over to f/i vs. carbs, because that would be another positive. Also looks like no centerstand and a single tip exhaust as well, not bad. Overall the visual is a very well designed improvement. Is this looking at the 2009 model, or have they mentioned anything else out about the release of a new design?

taht bike really does need a re-vamp, but i doubt it was a factory thing, could be someone who's really good with fiberglass doing their thing.

I think someone who was really good with fiberglass would have left the fender off and likely skipped the Kawi license plate. But heh, that's just me...

I guess we'll have to wait and see... looks interesting whatever it is. I also wondered about the FI thing and did notice what appears to be the 2 into one exhaust. Aside from that the brakes appear to be the similar, different frame, who knows about the engine and body styling from the present ZX-6/10 and the upper resembling the 650R.

I don't know, the 250 kind of has the reputation for being cheap, yet reliable and a great starter bike. From the looks of this it would probably be a bit more expensive. I think I would suspect it to be a new 500r possibly?

If that made it to the US I don't care how in debt I am I would have to get one!

but I very highly doubt it would make it to the US.

Looking at the pics, I'd be very, very happy with an updated 250, but I'd be disappointed if they didn't add dual front calipers and inverted forks...or at least improved suspension.

Nonetheless, there's a good chance I'd buy one anyway

Inverted forks are a biggie.

a lot of people talk about the zzr250 and how this model might never come to the US... just curious, why wouldn't kawasaki offer the improved style in the US?
