When I bought the Meanie, we instantly moved the payments from the Kawi "credit card" to one we already had with a fixed 8.5% and 1 year 0% balance transfers. You your credit is good enough, and you have to buy new, this is the best bet.

Honda is the only one anymore that you actually take out a loan with (and their financing actually cost more than a high % card). Kawi, Yammi, and Suzuki have all gone to credit card financing. No matter what they call it, it's still just a high %, variable rate card. This allows them to make more money in interest, and the buyer not have to get full coverage insurance in many cases.

In my experience I definitely like going new vs. used if at all possible. Both times I bought new bikes recently I haven't had to deal with a single significant mechanical problem. The only minor issues were dealt with under warranty. Both bikes I bought used have had some issues that need(ed) to be dealt with. When all's said and done the cost for service, repair and inconvenience are about equal to a spread out monthly payment.

When buying on a Kawi card be careful as others have said. It's a good way to get your bike quickly with little hassle, but if you can't pay off the bike before the end of the promo period you'll be in a world of hurt.

SAVE your money, and learn and shop shop shop......... you will end up with more motorcycle. And there's always another deal........ dont ever fall in love with a machine, you will pay too much, there's always another deal. Learn to walk on a deal, and lastly, dont buy on impulse......... there is no deal too good that it cant wait while you think and feel it over.......... there' always another deal, they sell them every day.
