On the topic of riding in the cold, I have a 50cc scooter as a daily commuter (less than 6 miles to work) and I ride that thing in any weather - still haven't ridden it on snow, simply because I haven't had the chance yet

Since it is pretty dang cold to be riding out nowadays (40/45 in the mornings and evenings), just last week I bought this "blanket" made especially for scooters. It is designed by an Italiano company and basically covers your legs from the cold... I have been using it this week and... it works wonders!!! Check it out:

How does it attach? I can pick out some Latin I recognize from the site, but I can't get most of it.

Cool. I did see signs for Rt8. I almost took that south from Rt2, but continued on to Rt7. I ride out there a lot durring the season. I ride with some fuzz from S.Hadley, Ware, and Chicopee. We'll have to hook up one of these time next year.

Sheet, I had posted the English version of the site but it appears for some reason it goes back to Italian... if you go to the homepage there is an english flag to change language

Basically it attaches through a simple system of belts - there is a velcro-strap that you strap around the steering column, a belt that you hook around the nose of the scooter, and 2 belts on the sides that you hook up underneath the scooter. If I remember I will take some pictures and post them up. At first I was skeptical but I was convinced by a few colleagues at work and like I wrote, it works wonders!

On the catalogue they gave me with the buy I saw they have some models for motorcycles as well, but I didn't find them on the website. Seeing how well they work on scooters, I definitely vouch for their quality.

I tried Bablefish, but it wouldn't work. Thanks for the info, glad you found something that works. I could see the cruisers using it, but a sportbike would be a sight to see!

That's why cruisers are better. Slow and easy not fast and done like Sport Bikes. ( I am talkin about bikes not the riders. LMAO)
