Default GPZ 1000 RX 1986(Ninja 100r)

Dear All,

Since a couple of months I have a Kawasaki GPZ 1000 RX from 1986. I am from the Netherlands but in the USA this bike is called the Ninja 1000R. It was running great, but now the bike runs only fine if I not go to fast. In each gear he started to make problems if I really turn open my gashandle. Top speed now is not faster then 160 KM/hour (about 100 miles/hour). Before I ride 230 KM/hour and still not to his max. (about 144 miles/hour) On the mainstand in his neutral opening the gashandle complete goes fine till about 9000 RPM and then it start fluctuating between 8500 and 9000 RPM. While riding the problem is before 8500 RPM. In the mean time I already changed the spark plugs, but this didn't help.

Does anybody knows what this can be?

Thanks in advance & best regards, Toon

Take a look at the air filter, and also have the carburators cleanned. Your bike seems to be starving.
