Default place to buy front sprocket online...

i got a 96 zx6e, second gear shot... currently has 14/48, stock is 16/48... im thinkin i should go 13/48 so 3rd will be like 2nd gear was almost........ i dont need to go 170+ anyways

Try Sprocketspecialists.com I ordered a front sprocket from them. Or you could call them at 1-800-782-8200. Hope they can help you.

I would not go more than one under stock in front because it causes more wear on the chain, your chain is not designed for that tight of an ark. I would go larger in back. I think 2 up in the back is equal to 1 under in the front and less bind on the chain.

hmmm... well its already 2 under stock, guess i wont make it 3 then... and just make the back 50 instead of 48...

ummm if second gear is shot you need transmission parts also.

LOL, well i know second gear is shot, and i need to pull motor out and fix it.... but im not going to do that for a long time... maybe in a year or so i'll just buy a new motor, BUT for the time being i figure i'll still drive it for now... as it is with 2 teeth droped in the front, 1st to 3rd is no problem, but still not like 1st and 2nd would be... thinkin about going lower so it would be even quicker, i dont care about shifting all the time, and doing 8k @ 60mph... i just dont drive at high speeds for very long.... mostly in the twistys anyways, or around town...
