If there was one nearby or within a certain mileage radius, they should have done a floor transfer to get you one if you had money on it.
The dealer sounds like they just don't want to bother (not a high profit unit) I'd call Kawasaki at 1-949-460-5688 Customer Service and see what they can do for you. Otherwise I'd get your deposit back and try another dealer. |

problem is that "another dealer" wont have the bike....... that model is sold out ... period....none avaliable from kawasaki......no more 08's to be built....there are just a few more on route to finish filling the spring orders....secondary orders will not be delivered as the product DOES NOT EXIST to fill the orders....my dealer could sell at least 10 more of them IF they could get em.......so its a matter of choosing a different model, waiting for an 09... or start calling every kawi dealer in the country in hopes of finding one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exactly. But here is one. Can someone tell me the difference between an EX500D and a 500R? I'm confused.. and have no clue what it means...
He told me he had an 07 500 in silver.. from what I get it's a great price. $1100 under value. but I pulled the Vin and it came up as Ex500D... Anyone? Anyone? |

I'm in Madison area WI and I am waiting until late June or July for a black or red 250r. I found a dealership thats very low key though. Im a noob rider but I've done a lot of research and the 500 is very dated in engine design and visually. The 650 and 08 250r and my favorite choices. Used 650 was just out of my price range so Im goin with a 08 250 instead.

So I went for the 07 ninja 500. So glad I did. Dated or not... I'm good.. Considering the very first bike I was going to buy was 77 used something piece of crap. 43 and drizzling and I still enjoyed my ride. I didn't expect to fit the bike so well and I'm extra glad I moved up.. the bigger bike (duh) holds more weight so.. I can actually take a friend with me for a ride.. I have never been so excited over a machine before.. not even my old snowmobile when I was a kid... (those I like to have speed). the dealer gave me a great price because the 250 I ordered wouldn't be in when they said it would be.. So.. in the end with the less expensive insurance prem ( because it's a year older) turns out I only paid $91 for the larger bike.. So HAPPY!!!!

I live in PA as well and the entire tri-state area was sold out and that was back in late April, they were also at the time having major recalls with the new Ninja 08's I guess b/c they were sending them out so fast and did a crappy job with assembling them. Try looking the 08 250's on Buy or Sell New and Used Motorcycles - CycleTrader.com you may get lucky, good luck!
Does anyone know of a link that states Kawa. won't me making anymore this year? |
