<sniff sniff> I did not get the bike. The guy was selling the bike because he needed the money. His brother loaned him the money. Now he is hanging on to the bike. I offered him more money but he wants to keep it.

Aww...That sucks. Ya might even check with a dealer and see if they have any bikes on consignment or traded in. I don't have any extra sport bikes laying around. Make sure you come back here, no matter what kind of bike you get.....Good luck.

There are quite a few 636 on CL...I always keep my eyes out for a deal on a 636...I loved my 2003 636...If you find one it is worth looking at as well.

If you've ridden an 80s litre bike, you will love a modern-day 600. They have a bit more power, but are infinitely lighter and the power delivery is so much smoother than an old carbureted 1K. Plus frame design has come such a long way, you'll feel like the bike is an extension of yourself ![]()

And I assume since bought a 6R, racing or track days is your goal? If so, an aftermarket pipe and Power Commander would help. And you'll probably wanna ditch the stock tires for something a little stickier. Don't worry about a little cosmetic damage if you're going to the track. You'll likely get more... And you've got leathers and boots, right? |

Good thing about a more powerful bike is u won't grow out of it AND u dont necessarily have to use it to its full potential until ur completely comfortable with it. I am sure ull be fine tho if uve ridden a 1000 before, ull get used to it quick im sure, then its off to a zx14
