Default 1st speeding ticket

Well i guess it was bound to happen... But who would have thought theos sneaky little pri*ks would be out running radar in the middle of the country side at 6:00am this morning.

I guess I cant blame anyone but myself. They clocked me(braking) at 82 in a 50. thank god they didnt catch me at the botom of the hill.

Does anybody else have a good 1st ticket story? maybe it might make me feel a bit better. I'm scared now what the wife is going to say. Not to mention my mother in-law, she works on the force. arg!

My first really high speed ticket was back when the national limit was 55, and I was on a track prepped but street legal KZ-900.

The CHP that pulled me over thanked me for slowing down since he wasn't able to get too close after I went by his hide out at 6 AM on a Sunday with zero cars on an isolated stretch of freeway up in the hills.

He was actually very talkative and asked me what mods I had made on the bike so we talked for a few and he did me a big favor giving me a ticket for only 90 in a 55 when I was radared at 142. Since this was over double the posted he could of hauled me and the bike away, but he didn't.

My story isn't very exciting. Was going 70 down a long sloping hill in my Focus on a country highway... cop went past me and didn't turn around til the top of the hill, by that time I was probably a mile ahead of him. I went on my way, turned off on the road I always take, and kept going. He finally pulled me over, and thought I was trying to evade him. He got all smart and asked me "So what's the name of this road?" I answered him and he said.. "well, you were speeding..." and gave me a ticket.

I have two tickets total, both in my car. In fact, I've been pulled over twice in my life, both in my car, both going down big hills, and both got tickets. I guess I should ride my brakes down the hills like all the soccer moms do.

For some reason I never do well with cops on bikes, I've been let off by cars quite a few times but bikes, not once.
At least I should be able to traffic school it but now my cushion is gone for a year. I'm going to go find some new roads...

When I was younger and less experienced I had a 93 RX-7. My first really hot car. God I miss that thing.

Anyway, I was on one of the Okie turn pikes going home one day, cruising at about 105 and went blowing past a state trooper who was going the other direction. I saw him, slowed down and pulled over before he had finished turning around to chase me down.

Really nice guy. Asked me what the rush was, gave me a warning and said if I was going to fly I might gain a bit more altitude before I run in to something.

first ticket? shoot, I can't remember back that far!
I did get stopped for a 105 in a 55. But like you, I was way out on a lonely country road at the wrong time.
He was pretty decent though, wrote it for 89 so I wouldn't lose my license.
I was just glad I didn't run, as within 5 minutes I was surrounded by 5 city cop cars and two sheriffs. whew!

I got my first speeding ticket this morinig too, just made a post in fact in the main lobby.

Got radared 61 in a 40, by a motorcycle cop.

Just a couple weeks ago me and my buddy got pulled over for doing 100-110 in a 50 but he let us off with warnings.

The only other time I've been pulled over for speeding was in my car about a year and a half ago, and I had a huge pile of papers in my glovebox and it was taking me forever to get my registration out so he just told me to slow down and left.

Yeah but did you get it on video?

YouTube - Traffic Ticket

You're lucky you are not in Florida - 30 over gets your bike impounded and your license suspended.
