I use Alpinestars SP-1 and Joe Rocket Honda gloves...Both in white. Just make sure they have pretty good palm protection and kuckle protection. SP-1 for aggressive rides since they are long...Joe Rocket one is for my commute.

I see you have good taste in motorcycles!
I can't ride my new ZZR without my new Olympia 715-Xtreme Gel gloves. Great in warm weather, and the gel pad is outstanding! They were more $ then other brands, but you get what you pay for.Olympia has spoiled me!I don't even look at other brands anymore. I've try'd all the others, and nothing comes close. Cortech is another good option if Olympia doesn't do it for you. |

I live in Miami and I find that most microfiber gloves with carbon fiber reinforced knuckle pads breathe well but don't always fit as well as leather. Icon has a few nice ventilated leather styles with kevlar reinforcement. Both do equally well for my sweaty palms...

Over the last 6 years I've had over 14 pairs of gloves, probably close to 20 by the time you factor in losses and replacements.
I did not like the Alpinestarts personally; they weren't "bad" but IMHO everything below the SP3's are overpriced for the protection level they (claim) to offer. The Olympias are an excellent value for the money - you get a solid glove worth the price paid. I haven't yet owned any Joe Rockets but I have tried them on - the mostly fabrics ones seemed a bit "flimsy" to me while the leather stuff seemed a solid value. The Icons fit great but are maybe a bit overpricesd considering the fundamental construction basis (for my hands, I was willing to pay more for that fit because I'm hard to size right). The AGV's are a good price but you have to be wary of the QC - I went through 2 pairs (and direct to the distributor who hand-picked the second pair for me) in order to get some where the armor actually lined up with you knuckles (still have some problems on my left hand there). River Road is a basic glove, with just a (small) amount of pizazz, at a basic price. And finally, Held. ...I'm part of a glove fetish group (amongst others). We know gloves. Cortech :: Gloves :: DX Glove Did I mention inexpensive (sounds so much better than 'cheap')! 8^)

I wore all last season the Joe Rocket Supermoto leather short cuff gloves and I loved them to death. They have good flexibility in the knuckle area, good feel and they actually keep you cool and warm depending on the weather.
Newenough.com actually has on there closeout-bargain basement section a set of Joe Rocket gloves for like $15.
