    Question Triumph Speed triple

It ain't a Kawi, but in my poking around I saw a '95 Triumph speed triple on Craigslist and it kinda piqued my interest.

Very cool lookin' nekkid street fighter thing going on...rather unique and classy.
I never paid much attention to these before and have never noticed many of them around. In fact, I was actually looking to see if there were any Daytona 675's listed when i stumbled across this.

I think he may have it priced a tad high according to NADA, but that's par for the course these days.

Did a little Googling and found that the newer models have some sexy updates and more power, naturally. But I'm curious - anybody know much about these bikes? I'm just trying to satisfy my own curiosity.

I don't know much about them, all I know is that IMO it is the most sexy bike on the street and I WILL own one someday

I'm not sure about a '95, but I've sat on the '05-'08 models. It's a super comfortable riding position, but its a tiny bike. There are passenger pegs, but I think riding two up would be a death wish for the passenger--looks like they could easily slide off the 5 square inches of seat they have to sit on and land right on the rear tire

I've ridden a 2007 Speed Triple. Was a nice bike, sounded great, smooth power. Didn't get to ride it a lot though, and I like my Z1000 better

We know peeps that own the newer model Speed and Street Triples and hand's down LOVE them. One guy says he'll never consider riding another bike again O.o They are MEAN looking beasts, and hold their own and then some when compared to other bikes.

The passenger seat thing doesn't bother me at all since I rarely do any 2-up riding.

I saw a few of them out today on my ride, and they're definitely growing on me more and more. There's just something about them that's completely different from my Ninjas...I can't put my finger on it, but its definitely got me thinking about the future.

So many nice bikes, so little space to store them...

Speed tripples are the king of all hooligans bikes...or so ive been told. i think some schools use them to teach people how to wheelie. They have short wheel base and abundant torque, so pretty good for wheelies. I think they are neat, the 07+ are super hot.

Saw an '06 this weekend up in Angeles Crest, super sweet looking bike. It was in this metallic light green with flip-flop sparkles, some CF and it looked like a Two-Bro's exhaust (forgot to look carfully--I was talking with his buddy when we were all pulled over). And this guy was like the other two Street Triple owners that I've had the pleasure of talking to: loves the bike to death.

I may check out that '95 just for grins. I'd like to ride one someday to help satisfy the curiosity, but fat chance a Triumph dealer will let that happen.
