Default R&G Frame sliders INSTALLED (finally)

Well, it took me a little while to get the time and nerve to drill holes in my fairings, but I finally did it, and am pleased with the results.

Pardon the dirty bike and garage. I'm trying to muster up enough energy and motivation to clean things up a bit now, but it's doesn't help that it's 95* outside right now.

Thanks to Zedx11 for prodding me along and giving me pointers - as always! And also to both Zed and Ervins for the recommendation!

Looks good.
Possible helpful tip, I'd cut the hole about 1/8th" larger than the slider.
If you do have the unfortunate experience of testing them out, if the slider is tight against the plastic, it'll flex and crack the fairing anyway.

Even picked up a fender eliminator kit. WOO HOO!

I picked one up for the 650R too, but still need to get smaller turn signal stalks for it.

Yeah, I did cut a slightly bigger hole than the instructions called for. I used 1 1/8" hole saw when they called for 28mm (1.1 inches). That was one nerve racking experience that I hope to never have to do again!

Looking good! Yes, make the holes larger if you can. Kel did you right by getting you the whole set. Right on. Time for a seat cowl and windshield. Then the black rearsets. Quick we need to spend more money on our bikes...

Yes, my wife did a very good thing by getting the whole set, and some sliders for her bike also. The most surprising thing is that she was adamant about me having them, and get them put on. I guess she saw a few too many bikes with rash.

Still looking for the windscreen. Been trying to find one at a local shop so that I can put my hands on it before I buy. I dunno about the cowl though. Been thinking about it, but I'm not 100% sure I want to get one just yet. I definitely would like some rearsets - I think red ones would be hot! Would rather have another 600 first though!

Gonna be time for tires soon though. These stock Q's are showing a fair amount of wear. I'm up around 2500 miles so far, so it won't be long.

the double bubble lets you see the gauges much better. now all you have to do is pick the tint/color. I'd have one but at the time one was offered at an unpassable price I had to pass because my hours were cut at the last shop.

I like what you are doing with this Red one. It's coming along nice.

Not red rearsets...Anodized looks like crap. Black for sure...Winshield is key...I like my PUIG...However, I was thinking of getting a bigger cockpit one. We'll see.

if you upgrade, let me know what you are going to do with your current screen.

After checking out what's out there for red rearsets (pictures at least), I have to agree that they're not all that...definitely not what I had in mind.

I'm almost definitely going to pick up a double bubble for the 650R in dark smoke first. I don't think they carry a red mirrored DB screen...not sure where I'm going for that yet. The shape is the most important thing to me right now for the 10R since I don't like where the wind is directed with the stock screen.

After that I may be done for this year. Gonna be looking hard toward the end of the season for that green 600!
