I am very ready to add some stability to the ZX10 via a steering damper. Who can recommend wat and which style is the best? I'm looking at a Ohlins unit and a GPR unit as well. Anybody have any experience with either of these? How easy are they to install and such. Thanks alot.

I have an Ohlins on mine. I like it alot. I went with it because a friend of mine got one to satisfy the sanctioning body he races under rules for tracking his 10. Said most of the guys he runs with swears by the Ohlins. Really you can't go wrong with any of the big name brand dampers. Although I think the Scotts requires you to cut your key a bit because of clearance issues. I don't think the GPR has that problem. But many people don't like the style of dampers like the Scotts and GPR which are rotary type ones. Say they are motocross type units adapted for sport bikes which isn't appropriate, but this is what I've heard. I haven't had any experience with the rotary type. Another damper that is popular with the 10s is the Hyperpro damper. They have a new type that provides progressive damping which is pretty slick. But I've heard in the past the Hyperpro has had issues with leakage. But again, the stuff I've heard is hearsay. Again, I went with the Ohlins as many pro racers stick with Ohlins.
