I like the clear lense...there is a tail integrator out for the signals. Haven't looked into it but I've seen them, for when you eliminate the fender.

Today I did the flush mounted turn signals.
was a piece of cake. the cutting looks ugly... dont suggest the dremel. at one point i dropped the tiny nut that goes on the one screw... was wondering what to do. couldnt find any magnets... I litterally took a piece of juicy fruit, chewed, stuck it on the end of a thin pipe. talk about low tech right? |

Greetings all! I have just been presented with the opportunity to own my very first motorcycle. Its a 2004 Kawasaki Ninja 250R w/ 1850 miles on it. He (brother-in-law) was asking for 1500 (broken side panel that needs to be replaced, broken piece is where the turn signal was). I found from some sources that undamaged the moto would go for 1150 to 1650. I offered 1000 for the bike seeing as how I would need to get the side panel fixed and the turn signal replaced before I could ride it (I could be wrong, I am a newb after-all). The question(s) are: Am I lowballing him or does it seem like a fair price for laying it over in the yard? How difficult is it to obtain a moto license? Anything I should be aware of being a newbie moto rider? And what is the total cost of new ownership of bike (dmv test, license fee, title transfer, etc.) Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. I am excited.
Thanks, Seth |

If you need replacement parts: Arctic Cat,Polaris,Suzuki,Kawasaki,Honda,Yamaha,Sea-doo,Can-Am dealer Muskegon, Michigan
I replaced a broken turn signal base and amber cover lens after dropping it on my driveway. YOU WILL DROP IT EVENTUALLY. This place also has clutch levers for less than $20 - thats another thing that tends to get bent when you drop it. For the fairing, try some epoxy glue if you can get it glued together ride it, drop it, trash it...all the while looking for a replacement panel. They aren't cheap. Good luck and have fun. And yeah, your offer is a little low seeing as I bought a '95 250R 3 years ago for $1100. If you can get it for $1500 or less you have gotten a good deal. |

![]() Here is a shot of that fender chop. I wound up buying a 2003 Bandit 600 so not putting the signals on here. If when I sell this one and they want to buy the signals for a little extra they can. If not I will sell them on ebay. Try to recoop some of the money I just spent

Asian cycle has good flush mount signals for the 250.
If you have never ridden before maybe think about the MSF class. Teaches a lot of good things.

not to hijack reply from original poster, but....MSF - Motorcycle Safety Foundation. Ask your local dealers if MSF is putting on any new rider classes. Take a class. It is worth the money if you are totally new to mc riding. It could possibly give you the information you need to save your life. After you've ridden for a year or two, take the intermediate class. MC riding is NOT like riding a bicycle - it's more like flying an airplane, but you are much closer to the ground.

asiancycle.com is where I got my flush mounts from. I did have to cut a little notch out of the fairing, but they work great. Came color matched to my bike, no painting required. Not sure about the mirrors though.
