maybe my 500r is just extremely underpowered
but mine tops out at about 120 (this is 120 on the speedo , so in reality its slower) not only that but it cannot pop a wheelie period, end of story

Hi all... I managed to crash my slightly older 250R and of course I destroyed a large section of the fairing in the process. Trying to find spare fairing parts over here in Europe seems to be a nightmare. I found a site in Florida (www.gdlcycles.com) who have spares for the 250R, but he keeps insisting that parts for the 2000-2005 models will not fit on a 1996. But elsewhere I heard that the bike basically went unchanged for the past 15 years. Who am I supposed to believe? As I need to order the parts over the internet I need to be sure that they fit (naturally...
).I found at least a new screen thank to this forum Thanks... |

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to modify a 03 ninja250R??? Would like to improve horsepower and acceleration. Right now my bike is stock with lots of work to be done. I bought it new in 03...got cut off and laid it down a month and a half later....left for 2 years and came home to a bike that doesnt want to run right. I changed all my fluids and cleaned the carbs once already but it still wont idle and the only way to get it to start is to have the choke on full. After it starts to rev I can cut the choke and keep it revved at at least 3k to keep it running. What I want to do is possibly bore it out and put straight pipes on it, maybe a jet kit or something of the sorts. If anyone has any idea how to fix the current problem and any idea where to go to customize this bike please let me know. Thanks ahead of time for your help

Hello everyone...I'm actually new to this and new to riding actually....I just purchased a 1995 Kawasaki Ninja 250r for my first bike. It is in great condition, brand new really and it only has 2300 miles on it. Anyway...I'm not really pleased witht he decals that it has and I thought about removing them..I've read all of the suggestions and I will go through with the heat gun/hairdryer tips. My problem/question is that the decals on the tank seem to have been clear coated over (I can't find the edges of the decal if I run my finger over them) any suggestions as to how to remove these? Would it be ok just to put new ones on top of the old ones? And anyone know where I can get these decals? The dealers seem to only have the "stock" ones and those are the ones I don't like. I also have a question about painting my rims if anyone can help.....Thanks a lot! I would appreciate any feedback...Sorry about the length...
