Indeed, once i get to know how, i promise you pics!
I should like to state that you go a bit too far in giving analogies. I already have the Kawi Z1000 for comfort-no mods. Do you imagine i wanna slow down my 10R? Nor do i want half a horse extra! It is fine just the way it is. Besides, I have begun to dislike the name, "Heli Bars", LOL. God, you guys are the "fundies" in spirit and spirituality |

Once you get used to the riding position on the 10R I think you'll be glad you didn't change it. Now, where's those pics??!?!?

Are you always doing wheelies when you want something? If you just looked, it says "Newbie" by my name. And thats what I am, here. Pics have been promised, the cam is being charged! I've got all kinds of people making demands off of me. Look, nothing personal but I've gotta get my hands on all my bikes today before too long and then save the rest for my g/f. And I am not changing nothin any time soon. It took six whole months for me to install a supercharger on my Dodge SRT-10 and i do not regret it. Later...

But yeah, we do like pics around here. And with the 2 fine bikes ya got it would be a shame not to show 'em off! Yep - I know that you're a newbie here. So if nobody has said it yet, I'd like to be the first to say Welcome to the madness! Did I mention we like pics? ![]()

Thanks for the "directions" but i must not be doing something right. I've got the images opened in Paint and thats where they are staying at unless someone still wants to help me posting them here. Man, I had a unique day. I used up quite a bit of gas riding my ZX earlier. While at the gas station, i think i must have leaned far enough so that my key to the ZX bent up; fortunately, i ran into a mechanic friend who was also surprised at the CHEAP metal that Kawasaki uses for making their motorcycle keys; at any rate, we unbent the key and after a little toying with it, it started the ignition. I am making a more durable key soon. I was glad that it did not break as i feared it would. Mike |

Hey zedx11, thanks a bunch for your tenacity to stay put/put up, and endure a Newbie! I agree with you my ZX needs nothing except perhaps a lil lunch bag cuz i'm not that keen to carry a back pack.

Very nice, Mike!
You'll fit in nicely around here...we LOVE green bikes, and we more than a few Z1000 owners/fans here too. Yes, two mighty fine choices indeed. You're right at home man!

Kool utility indeed...permit me to display my newly modified old Panasonic bike laid against my not-so-clean SRT-10, supercharged of course. If this image does not belong here, please let me know how to remove it.

Hello
I was riding my '08 ZX10R today when all of a sudden, the engine died at about 60 plus mph in the fifth gear; the engine light came on (red) and the bike was slowing down fast while i had the clutch all the way in; then, i hit the starter button instinctively and the engine restarted and i was able to restore back to speed. At no time did i touch the "kill switch" or the key. I rode several more miles after this episode and plan to have the electronics tested on Monday. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? I think that there was no human error that i could think of. |

any time you have a red light you should not restart till you can get the codes from the ECU.
turn the key on and set your display to odometer and push and hold the reset button, see if there are any codes stored.

zedx11, glad to hear; may i ask what ECU is; i did have a new pipe replace the stock muffler (Leo Vinci brand); should i do the "code" check now or should i have the expert at the dealer check it?
