I had the same problem with the 10R. Luckily, I discovered the Z1000 had a more comfortable, upright position. It got even better with bar risers! Look around if you haven't tried one - great deals (on leftover new 03s and 04s) are to be had (there's two in my neighborhood).

Should this be upped to 1400cc now that Kawasaki's coming out with a 1350cc sportbike? =)

If you can find one, check out a GPZ1100/ZX1100E (mid 90's, only made for about 3 years). These things aren't all out sportbikes, but when it comes to stompin' power, it's ALL there!

GPz1100/zx1100e is my baby.

I just recently bought a 1988 zx-10 that is about ready to run, so i was wondering if anybody has one and has reached its maximum speed. If you have can you please tell me what you have reached so i can have an idea of what speed it tops out. and what are some good mods to do to it.

I'm new to the list (waves to everyone). I am rebuilding an '01 ZR1200 and was wondering if anyone knows if there is a group that focuses on this model like they do for so many others? I haven't been able to find it if it does. I am also interseted to know how simular it is to the ZZR1200.
Thanks.

there are generally 3 ways to get faster

1. become a better rider
2. get a better power to weight ratio
3. better grip/suspension set-up
