I just bought a ZX-11c. I will probably never see the full potential of the bike but it rides 2 up better than my zx-6r anyday, especially with my custom Corbin seat and passenger backrest.

I don't blame you for running the OEM filter, if I could buy them as cheap as the Purolator I would still be running them. BTW, the Purolator is just a little cheaper than what I was paying with employee discount for the OEM filter. |

Well I decided what to get...a new total rebuild on the old zx11-92...tore her down last weekend..everything is apart except the motor. Have cleaned all parts too and brought them into the basement for winter tinkering...some serious polishing to frame and a few mods are in order..as for the engine..hmm..rings and valve job along with adjustable cam sprokets so I can dial them in. Already have 41 smooth bores on her with 2 1/2 in. intakes, a titanium muzzy pipe, modified airbox and advanced igniton plate. Will post pics as progress happens...John

also they have oil starvation issues during wheelies, there is plenty of sites on this bike that clear up these issues

Picked up my NEW 06 ZX10R last Thursday, (how happy am I)
Had a ZX9R 98 model that I loved, but saw this and loved how stealth it looked with the built in indicators. The riding position is a bit hard on the arms (it's my only mode of transport) but so far everything else I love, even my wife thinks pillion is comfier. If anyone else is in the market I'd recommend this bike.. |

I was wondering if anyone in here rides older zx10s(1989-91).I have a 90' zx10 and was wondering what kind of external/cosmetic modifications i'm able to do with this bike, and if any "newer model" fairings are compatible, any info would be greatly appreciated,thanks...

Can't find time to ride

I'm thinking of adding a sportbike to my stable. I just started riding last May (06), but I've logged about 11,000 miles so far, so I'm optimistic that I could handle a liter or bigger. I love my cruiser, but I think I'd like a sportbike as well. I'm trying to decide between the ZX-10 and the ZX-14. From what I understand, the ZX-14 is uncomparable when it comes to straight ahead acceleration, but the ZX-10 would be more nimble in twists and turns. Thoughts?
Cheers! Steve

My first thoughts are of being scared for you! If you have only owned one bike before and its a cruiser..don't even think about a litre or better sport bike..it will possibly kill you! Try starting out on a older 600 or 750 sport (less money invested) and less power too..then gradually work your way up to the litres..the 600 or 750's are beasts in their own right too...just my opinion for what its worth
