Not sure bout the '06 but wit the '07 I felt a lil resistance when I was breakin in/gettin use 2.... what I do now is preload the shifter... if u keep your toe pushing up wit a lil push when u get ready 2 shift gears an let off the gas a lil it will shift without pulln the clutch or wit jus a lil pull... (power shiften, doesnt hurt anything but it makes the shifting smoother and keep u from feelin like u have 2 kick the damn thing up)

I know this is a little late, but my 06 10R does the same thing. When shifting, it doesn't feel crisp, if that's the right word. More clanky. My 01 ZX6R was real crisp and solid. I did however notice that if I'm getting on it hard, and coming close to redline, say 2 grand or so from redline, it performs crisp all the way through the gears whether going up or down. If cruising around the base where speed limit is 35, it's clanky. Maybe they just like to go!!!

I'm in "smallville" Illinois and can't find a ZX-12R anywhere to try out.....anyone have any other relatively comfortable, large sport (or S. Touring) recommendations??? Thanks for the help!!!

i dont have a set price. i would like 750 or more, but i may take less. the muzzy exhaust alone is worth a few hundred... i am a reasonable, honest person, so i am willing to negotiate... thanks for the interest. Rich

I love my cruiser, but I think I'd like a sportbike as well. I'm trying to decide between the ZX-10 and the ZX-14. From what I understand, the ZX-14 is uncomparable when it comes to straight ahead acceleration, but the ZX-10 would be more nimble in twists and turns. Thoughts?

Cheers!

I have about 5500 miles on my 14 and its superb as far as comfort goes. I did just replace the rear tire with a Metzler M3 and the bike is far more nimble than with the OEM tires. Its more than nimble enough for me and great for longer stints in the saddle. Oh and twisting the throttle always brings a smile to my face!

Default New to Forum, Pix's of my new baby.

Hello everyone, I googled ZX11 forums and here I be.
My first car was a moped, that lasted about 2 weeks, I'm a big mammal, so for $600.00 plus TTT I was riding a cb200, I think that was the model anyway it was in the crate and 3 years old and the dealer was liquidating left over stock.
I remember when the first Ninja's came out, dear god I thought to myself I have to get me one of them, here it is 22 years latter, YUMMY

Here's a few pix's of my new honey.
She's a 1990 Zx1100-C with 6100 on the clock.
I picked her up off of G-List, he wanted $3200.00 but I haggled him down to $2500 because she ran like $hit.
Having troubles starting and maintaining a steady idle.
The last owner is a guy in his mid 50's and has bad knee's so he let her go.
He had the tank and the carbs acid dipped twice, I'm in the middle of coating the tank with POR-15 I have to wait, get this,,,,, 96 f-inn hours for this crap to cure. well I waited 22 years so I guess another 96 hours won't kill me, no wait 88 hours no 87 hours 59 minutes 30 seconds, no wait.

Any riders in Long Island, NY ?
None of my friends or family ride or have ever rode, so sad.
Well I was thinking about getting some new friends, LOLOL.

What do you think it's going to run you on the paint job ?
I'm thinking about a paint job for
my ZX11 and got quotes from 900-1200 bucks.
Then it hit me, why don't I do something custom.
I saw a car with that chameleon color changing paint job, what you think ?
