Default If you were trying to sell your bike on CL...

...would you post a picture of yourself pulling a wheelie on said bike?

Certainly not....maybe hoping a squid will see it and want it because, "it can do a wheelie!"? LOL

What's with a bike being 10 years old and only having 5k on the clock? I don't understand how someone can buy a bike but ride it so little!

Idk...they just don't ride much! My dad's 77' KZ1000 LTD has 5,200 on it.

A 77 KZ with only 5200??? Holy 167 miles per year average! I couldn't ride so little it would kill me to look at my bike but not jump on her and take off.

That's what I thought too! That's why I checked out the listing. I'm not sure how good of a price it is though if the was stunting on it--even if it was "only" wheelies.

And to everyone else also: yeah, how the hell do you not put some miles on a bike!? Especially one like that!?

I wouldn't post a pic of me doing a wheelie in an ad to sell it for sure My wife ever sees me doing wheelies... the bike would be for sale anyway. So yeah. I'm also a bit skeptical of the mileage, but it could be legit. It will probably sell no problem though.

Yup! Pretty much mint condition, with a minor paint bubble on the rear fender. Everything is original but the K&N air filters and exhaust (he has the original though, just not on the bike).

Here's a pic:

Anyway, back on topic.... I personally wouldn't buy a bike that's done a wheelie, as I would be VERY careful to look for damage. However, I guess a wheelie doesn't do anything to the bike, as long as it stays rubber down.

Yea they are fun that's for sure. I'm trying to convince him to buy a new bike, to keep the miles off the KZ (he obviously never rides anyway!) and because he won't have to worry about a new bike (mechanical problems, someone hitting it, etc.). However, my luck isn't very good, lol.

Hopefully he'll eventually get another bike that he can commute on and not worry about.

Those twins sound good too.. Only Suzuki I'd ride. But I'd prefer an RC51.

You would only have 5000 miles on your bike too if with the front wheel only touched the pavement when it's parked. Bad joke!

That's because, on this bike, the front wheel rarely touches the ground - Keeps the mileage down! -
